Amaze
Amaze is a local charity that provides vital support for families with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Amaze works with any family in Brighton & Hove and East Sussex with a child or young person with SEND up to 25. You don’t need a formal diagnosis of a disability to get their support.
Each year, over 5,000 families benefit from Amaze’s specialist information, emotional support and practical advice. Their services include
- SENDIASS Advice line open Mon to Friday, 9am to 5pm 
- Website and resources with advice on education, benefits, getting a diagnosis, health, social care and growing up at 
- Regular free workshops on education and disability benefits 
- Disability benefits advice service 
- Parent groups & befriending – in-person support groups across Brighton & Hove and East Sussex plus one to one support for parents via trained befrienders. 
- ND Family Support – for families before and after assessment for neurodevelopmental differences such as autism, ADHD and tics/Tourettes. 
- Amazing Futures social and activity groups for young people with SEND aged 14-25 
- Amazing Futures Careers Advice for young people with SEND aged 14-25 in Brighton & Hove 
- Compass Card and Carers Card offering discounts and freebies at leisure outlets across the region.
