At OurPlace Learning Community (OPLC), we are committed to providing a flexible and personalised education that offers exceptional value. Our fee structure is designed to be transparent and straightforward, allowing you to plan with confidence.
Our Fees for Private Paying Students
Per Term (3 terms per academic year): £1,850
Per Academic Year: £5,550
Trial Week: £179
Trial Week Cancellation: £100
Funding Through EHCP or EOTAS Packages
OurPlace Learning Community is now fully Quality Assured by Brighton & Hove City Council (BHCC).
This means we are officially recognised as an approved alternative education provider.
As a result:
Students with an EHCP can now attend OPLC through a Local Authority–funded placement, where the EHCP package covers the cost of our provision.
We are also eligible to support EOTAS (Education Other Than At School) arrangements, with funding agreed by the Local Authority.
Families do not need to pay our fees directly when a Local Authority placement is in place.
This ensures that young people who need our specialist support can access it without financial barriers, and that our provision aligns with local authority standards for safety, quality, and outcomes.

Additional Costs
The following costs are not included in the main fees and are charged separately:
Arts Award Fees: For students working towards a qualifications like the Arts Award, the fees for invigilation and any required coursework moderation are charged at cost.
Specialist Materials: While core resources are included, certain specialised projects (e.g. in art, cooking or woodwork) may require a contribution towards materials.
Off-site Activities and Trips: Any costs for travel, entry fees, or accommodation for field trips and excursions will be communicated in advance for your approval and consent.
External Exam Disclaimer
Please be aware that OPLC is not a registered exam centre. While we provide support for preparing for qualifications such as GCSEs, parents/guardians are responsible for the administration and organisation of all external exams.
We are happy to direct you to local exam centres. However, any further administrative support provided by OPLC staff will incur additional charges, billed at an hourly rate.
Payment Information
Payment Schedule: Fees are payable in advance at the beginning of each term. We are happy to discuss alternative payment plans if needed. A surcharge will apply to this arrangement.
Payment Methods: We accept payments via bank transfer or Direct Debit. Please contact us for our bank details.
Late Payments: We understand that circumstances can change. If you anticipate a delay in payment, please contact us to discuss the matter confidentially.
